Welcome to EASIMAP

EASIMAP was an online tool designed to enable Programme teams to map programme and module intended learning outcomes along with assessments to the QAA Benchmark Statement for Engineering and to UK-SPEC.

EASIMAP was devised to:-

  • Provide Programme/Module leaders with the ability to demonstrate coverage of intended learning outcomes across a programme. This will be valuable for internal review, external accreditation, institutional quality assurance etc.
  • Capture, record, evidence and demonstrate how the achievement of learning outcomes is assessed at programme, module, and assignment level
  • Enable students (by importing assessment feedback and data from EASIMAP) to record their attainment of learning outcomes within their PDP records/e-portfolios, to aid the processes of: evidencing competence; reflecting upon progress; & planning personal/academic development

EASIMAP was developed through a JISC / Higher Education Academy Distributed e-Learning Programme 2 project funded between 2007 and 2008. A number of universities were involved in piloting EASIMAP. The tool was hosted by Loughborough University on behalf of the Higher Education Academy Engineering Subject Centre. Help files were available throughout the tool to offer advice and guidance to new users.
